Looking forward to dying again and again in Dark Souls II but have been waiting for news on the PC release? Wonder no more, chosen undead, as Bandai Namco has announced that the long-awaited sequel to one of the most challenging games ever (apart from Demon's Souls) will hit PC and Steam on April 25.

From Software has apparently learned a bit since the PC port of the original Dark Souls, as Dark Souls II will apparently sport four times the resolution of its console brethren while running at 60 FPS. The controls are also being worked on for the keyboard and mouse set.

Apart from making PS3 and 360 players extremely jealous, the upped resolution and frame rate for Dark Souls II PC could theoretically make it easy to port the game over to next-gen consoles eventually. Given the current trend, let's hope exactly that happens.
