The district manager of a West Virginia Pizza Hut was fired after video of him peeing in a restaurant sink emerged, prompting the location's shut down.
Though the incident took place after the store was closed, it's inexplicable, unacceptable and flat-out disgusting. On top of that, it's a health code violation. Who does that?
In a statement, Pizza Hut was deeply apologetic for the vile actions of the former employee. ""First of all, we are embarrassed by the actions of this individual," the chain said. "Pizza Hut has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and the local owner of the restaurant took immediate action and terminated the employee involved."
Still, the chain insisted that the ex-manager did not tamper with any food. "We follow strict safety and handling procedures and the restaurant has since been closed. We apologize to our customers of Kermit, West Virginia, and those in our system who have been let down by this situation."
According to USA today, the store was closed yesterday and will not open again its been thoroughly sanitized and given approval from the health department .
