Namco Bandai announced today that its free-to-play version the popular fighter SoulCalibur is set to drop this spring.
SoulCalibur: Lost Swords will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 3. So don't trade in your old box just yet. While “spring” isn't a terribly specific launch date it adds to list of reason to stay inside when the weather might actually be nice out.
Lost Swords has drawn some serious flak over its “play-time token” system. Where players pay real world money for a certain set number of single-player matches much like another fighter Tekken: Revolution. Check out some gameplay footage below and stay tuned for more details.
What do you think of this pay scheme? Does paying by the match rub you the wrong way? Whatever happened to practice?
