In a tragic turn of events, the brother of the man who died after suffering a heart attack while jogging through Prospect Park has died of a heart attack he suffered while jogging in Central Park. On Jan. 19—ten days after Rynn Berry was taken off of life support—60-year-old Peter Berry succumbed to the same fate.

"It's been terrible," surviving brother, Charles Berry, told the New York Daily News. "It's still hard to believe." According to Charles, Peter, like Rynn, was very concerned about fitness. "Peter was in very good shape," he explained.

After suffering a heart attack on New Year's Eve, Rynn Berry sat in a Park Slope hospital before Charles identified him. Despite the tragedy, Charles said the family was able to find solace in the fact that Rynn and Peter died doing what they loved in places that they loved.

"They both loved those respective parks, so I suppose that's a positive aspect of it," he said.
