Just 24 hours after Marvel confirmed that Michael Douglas will star in Ant-Man as Hank Pym, Varietyis reporting that a few more names might be added to the cast in the near future. According to the report, Michael Pena has been offered a yet-unknown supporting role in the film, but the studio isn't confirming anything at this point. Additionally, the studio is looking at a few actresses for the lead female role, including Rashida Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard.

While Pena’s role is a complete mystery, Bleeding Cool is reporting that the female role is the daughter of the second male lead, presumably Douglas’ Hank Pym character. Pym never had a daughter in the comics, but it is possible that writer Joe Cornish is reworking Janet van Dyne, aka The Wasp, into the part.

Van Dyne was the original love interest of Pym in the comics, so she can be morphed into Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) romantic conquest in the movie. There is no word on whether or not The Wasp will appear, though. Expect an official announcement from Marvel regarding these roles in the coming weeks.
