Earlier this week, Bethesda's website briefly listed latest Elder Scrolls installment Skyrim as coming to PS4 and Xbox One. The listing was soon taken down, leading many to speculate whether the developer intended to announce a next-gen port for the game, which was released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2012. It turns out that the listing was just a website bug, according to a tweet from Bethesda PR head Pete Hines.
"We have been working on the CMS that runs our sites. A bug caused platforms that don't exist to show up for some games Sorry for confusion," he posted on Twitter. So, for now at least, it appears that Bethesda is not planning on bringing Skyrim to next-gen consoles, which probably makes sense given that Elder Scrolls Online hits PS4 and Xbox One (as well as PC) in a few months.
