First "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1" Teaser Poster Hits The Web

After the first two films in the Hunger Games series grossed well over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, the franchise has quickly become one of Hollywood’s biggest juggernauts. It’s the rare big budget saga that has garnered acclaim from critics, the general audience, and the die hard fans of the original book series. Plus, it stars Jennifer Lawrence, easily the biggest actress in the world. In short, The Hunger Games is a dream property for Lionsgate. 

Now with 2013’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire about ready to leave theaters, everyone’s attention is turning to this year’s installment, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay –Part 1. To give fans something to talk about in the weeks ahead, the film’s official Twitter account revealed the first teaser poster for the sequel earlier today.
