Apple and Samsung have set a date to talk out their differences.

The companies have been suing each other over patent infringements (stemming from Apple saying that Samsung's touchscreen phones infringe on their iPhone patents). Apple most recently won their lawsuit near the middle of last year, and was awarded close to a billion in damages by the courts. With another trial date nearing in March, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Samsung CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon have agreed to meet in mitigation processes to see if they can reach a truce and avoid having to go to trial, which would see them drop millions of dollars on lawyer fees once again. Lawyers from both sides reported the meeting agreement in a court filing in Northern California, and the meeting will happen before February 19. All of this came fruition after a federal judge ordered the companies to have settlement talks before the new patent infringement trial begins in two months.
