Today in unexpected, great news: Comedy Central's hilarious stoner sitcom Workaholics is getting the silver screent treatment, courtesy of super-producer Scott Rudin. Kyle Newacheck, who co-created and directs many episodes of the show, will helm the film. Just as they do for the series, Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson and Anders Holm will pen the script, for which no details have yet been divulged. But basically, imagine a ninety-minute, extended episode with the hijinks elevated to a feature-appropriate level. We're big fans here at Complex, so needless to say, we can't wait.

UPDATE: So apparently whatever Newacheck, DeVine, Anderson and Holm are cooking up with Scott Rudin ISN'T related to Workaholics. But given the team involved, we can still expect something awesome and zany in a similar vein, and hopefully the rumor gets them thinking of an actual film spin-off as well.
