You know what would've made history class more exciting? If that educational Napoleon Bonaparte documentary you were made to watch was set to Jay Z and Kanye's Watch the Throne.
Thanks to HBO, it looks like future high school students will get to live out your fantasy, as the network is in talks to acquire the Steven Spielberg-produced mini-series on the life of the military commander, to be directed by Baz Luhrmann. Yeah, he's the same guy who put Fatboy Slim in Moulin Rouge and "No Church in the Wild" all over the Leo DiCaprio-starrer, The Great Gatsby. The story will be based on the 1961 script by Stanley Kubrick.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but what is certain is that it could conflict with Warner Bros.' planned feature film on Bonaparte, to be directed by Rupert Sanders (whose reputation as Kristen Stewart's former fling precedes him).
No word on whether Josh Hutcherson is in the running to play Napoleon.
