Yet again Alec Baldwin finds himself in hot water and apologizing profusely over a public outburst. This past Thursday the actor lashed out a TMZ paparazzo with a few of his favorite words, and he was immediately taken to task by the likes of Anderson Cooper and GLAAD for once again using homophobic and anti-gay slurs.
Additionally detractors such as Andrew Sullivan called MSNBC out for not issuing an apology and continuing to let Baldwin's behavior remain unchecked. In response, the newtork has pulled his Up Late talk show (which is already suffering from low ratings) from the air for two weeks, and you can read a lengthy apology from Alec himself over on their website.
Here's an excerpt: "Words are important. I understand that, and will choose mine with great care going forward. What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive and unacceptable. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support. I understand 'Up Late' will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week."
