Women in the Colombian town of Barbacaos have decided that denying their husbands sex is the only way to express the importance of fixing a key road. They say the condition of the road is so poor, that it takes as long as 14 hours to get to the closest hospital. Some pregnant women have reportedly died in the back of ambulances just trying to make it to a hospital to give birth.

This strike, known as the "crossed legs movement," isn't the first one the women of Barbacaos have imposed. This tactic was emplyed back in 2011 for the same purpose; they were promised the road would be fixed, but no progress has been made in the past two years. As a result, the strike is back on.

Maybe this time around, the frustration will lead to some work actually being done on that road.
