After pretty much shattering October box office records upon its release this past weekend—and earning an astoundingly impressive 98% Rotten Tomatoes score in the process—Gravity is the talk of the film world today. So, now is pretty much the perfect time to get to know the film a little better, especially considering you'll likely be hearing a lot more about it come this upcoming awards season.

Luckily, VH1 has the lowdown on the movie—including the fun fact that, with its running time of 91 minutes, it may very well be the shortest movie in the Best Film category at the 2014 Oscars, and just how breathtaking Alfonso Cuaron's cinematography really is. Hint: If you see one movie in IMAX or 3D this year, make it this one.
