The Stanley Hotel, which inspired Stephen King's The Shining, plans to roll the dice and dig up a pet cemetery on its grounds in preparation for a coming wedding and corporate retreat. That alone sounds like a horror movie plot—a very bad horror movie plot.

Even with the threat of paranormal activity, residents near the Estes Park, Colo. hotel are more concerned about the noise that this excavation will bring. Clearly none of these people are horror film buffs.

While Hotel Chatter notes that this isn't the hotel that inspired Pet Cemetery, we're talking about digging up a pet cemetery located on the land of the hotel that inspired The Shining—close to Halloween. Does anyone really want to see the aftermath of Pet Cemetery colliding with The Shining?
