Surprising no one, Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida has confirmed that Square’s second cross-platform venture into the weird world of MMOs will feature better specs and performance on PS4 in a recent video put out by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (as translated by Dualshockers).
The PS4 is the optimal platform from FFXIV for a number of reasons, Yoshida said, not only in terms of graphical fidelity and number of characters on-screen but also with added touches like seamless cross-platform integration and, interestingly, using the new Dualshock’s touchpad as, well, a touchpad mouse.
