In discouraging Friday the 13th news, a Bronx day care center has been exposed as a drug front. Yesterday, law enforcement officials announced that they had seized 150 grams of crack cocaine, over 1,000 pills of oxycodone, a kilo of cocaine, roughly $180,000 in cash and a loaded 9 mm handgun from the house where Fun World Childcare was located and from a spot across the street.

In total, the drugs are worth about $80,000 on the street.

On Wednesday night, police arrested 41-year-old Gregorio Hanley, his 31-year-old wife Johanna Vasquez and "customer" William Ferrer. Investigators reportedly observed the Hanley exit the building with a plastic bag, which he gave to two people seated inside of a vehicle. Authorities followed it and arrested Hanley, who was caught dirty with the 150 grams of cocaine. This led to a raid of the Fun World facilities, where the drugs, money and weapon were discovered.

The New York Daily News reports that parents arriving to drop their children off yesterday morning were met with a note reading: “A family emergency occurred very late last night and I was unable to message you. Fun World will be closed today. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.”

The couple was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, unlawful dealing and endangering the welfare of a child and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Ferrer received one charge for possession.

Now all of those parents are going to have to find a new place to take their kids. It's all so shameful.
