In a surprising move, the Walt Disney Co. has announced they will not renew their deal with legendary Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Together, the esteeemed producer and the studio have produced countless colossoal hits like the Pirates of the Caribbean series, National Treasure and Armageddon, and The Rock to name a few. They've also had their fair share of failures, the most recent being one of summer 2013's most notable flops, The Lone Ranger.

Disney released this statement: "Jerry is one of the most respected and prolific producers working in the motion picture industry, and we have had an incredibly successful collaboration over the past two decades and he is a friend to many of us here at Disney. We will continue to work together in the future, and we look forward to seeing more of the films that have made Jerry Bruckheimer a Hollywood legend.”

As of now, the former dynamic duo still plan to work together to force more Pirates and National Treasure sequels on us.
