Sylvester Stallone's mysterious "GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE" tweet was confirmed at being directed towards his now-former The Expendables co-star Bruce Willis, but it wasn't clear why Sly was so upset.

Until now: According to The Dissolve, Willis was asked back to the third franchise sequel to shoot for just four days in Bulgaria. He was offered a $3 million salary for those four days, but Willis demanded $4 million total—meaning, he wanted to be paid $1 million a day for his work on the film. "He said he'd drop out unless he got $4 million," a source told The Hollywood Reporter. "A million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no."

Of course they did! That's ridiculous. We're sure Willis knew it, too—that is an outrageous amount of money to ask for, so it's probably that Willis didn't want to do the film anyway, and figured he'd ask for the money just to see if they would. Just theorizing here, but it would make sense.

Instead of Willis, Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford, has been cast in the film, and will probably be making less than $4 million for it. As for Willis, with the sixth Die Hard film in the works, Die Hardest, we're sure he'll be just fine.
