Former race car driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) thought that he left the fast life behind him when he stopped racing. But he thought wrong.
In the new film Getaway, we follow Brent's unexpected return to the life of high speeds and high stakes. But this time, he's not after any prize. This time, it's way more personal. After unknown assailants kidnap his wife, Brent is forced to commandeer a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang and follow the orders of a mysterious man he knows only as "The Voice" (Jon Voight). With no idea who the The Voice is, or even what he looks like, Brent must submit to every one of his demands or risk getting his wife killed.
But one thing neither Brent nor his new nemesis counted on was the arrival of The Kid (Selena Gomez), a would-be carjacker who unwittingly places herself right in the middle of Brent's predicament. Now, Brent and The Kid have no choice but to rely on each other in order to save Brent's wife, and themselves.
