Get ready for your Twitter feed to explode when Demi Lovato guest stars on Glee next season: According to Us Weekly, Lovato's previously confirmed character "Dani"—an NYC-based "struggling artist" because EVERYONE 20-SOMETHING IN NYC IS A HIPSTER, GUYS— will be a new love interest to series star and Complex August/September cover girl Naya Rivera's Santana Lopez.
It was Rivera who revealed the news to MTV: "She's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that...we get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited." The show will feature two Beatles-themed episodes—the premiere and the second episode—so Lovato will be joining the series during one of those.
No word yet on how Lovato and Rivera's characters will meet, but TVLine has previously reported that Lovato's character will be appearing in six episodes—so it's likely that her relationship with Santana will move pretty fast.
