A memo was leaked last month from GameStop saying that they would take unlimited preorders for Sony's new PlayStation 4, but that has come abruptly to a halt. Currently the system is no longer available for preorder. Instead customers will be wait-listed. Let the panic begin.

A Statement issued to Game Informer, which is owned by GameStop, reads "Due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4."

After the resounding success of Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year they boosted sales projections for the PS4. CEO Jack Tretton even said Gamestop planned to buy "every single unit" Sony could produce at the time.

Okay so maybe don't panic just yet because PlayStation 4 is still available for launch day order on Amazon as of now. So if you're having GameStop regrets try to grab a launch-day deal while they're still around. Expect news from Sony soon as we're sure they'll be happy to address the best kind of problem.
