Yahoo Updates their Search Pages with a Minimalistic Redesign

Marissa Mayer still hard at work.

Have you been turning to Yahoo for your web searching lately?

If you have, you might have noticed that today, things look just a bit different. Yahoo just redesigned its search results pages into a more minimalistic look, taking the tabs that were lined atop the page and placing them to the left side of the screen. The search results are now organized in a more narrow results field, which makes it look cleaner but creates a ton of empty, or wasted, space (whatever your tastes are) toward the right of the screen. Yahoo also claims that their web search will be faster due to some changes on the developer side of things.

Head over to Yahoo's Tumblr page to see a post on the visual makeover, including a before and after GIF.
