Only a couple of days after reports surfaced stating that he was in talks to join the cast of The Expendables 3, Indiewire is reporting that Wesley Snipes is indeed set to appear in the film—his first gig post-prison.

Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan, and Milla Jovovich, who were also said to be in serious negotiations, have signed deals to appear in the film as well. The news was confirmed by Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer in a conference call last week.

This is the second film that Snipes and Expendables star Sylvester Stallone will have starred in together—back in 1993, the two appeared alongside each other in Demolition Man. We can only hope The Expendables 3 will offer him lines as amazing as that movie offered him.

As of now, The Expendables 3 is eyeing an August 15, 2014 release date, which works out great since Snipes is actually currently under house arrest until next month. Snipes was released from prison in early April, after he served a three-year prison sentence for tax fraud. Always file your taxes, guys!
