Tech giants Google, Apple, Intel and HP have pledged to contribute close to $30 million to the Bay Area Super Bowl Bid Committee—the organization in charge of luring Super Bowl 50 to the Bay Area. A lot of the money will be spent on police overtime and increased transportation, and $8 million of it will go to charities in the area. It seems this could tip the favor in San Francisco's way: the only other city up against it is Miami, and, frankly, money talks.
We'll find out a little after May 21st when the final votes are cast by NFL owners.
