LG's new technology could save smart phones owners a lot of money in the near future—that's if what they're claiming holds true. The company is set to demo a new 5-inch flexible smartphone panel that promises to be, somewhat unbelievably, both bendable and unbreakable. The OLED screen (an acronym for organic light-emitting diode) will be making its debut at the Society for Information Display's annual exhibition, Display Week 2013, in Vancouver, Canada.
Seeing is believing. If this technology can hold up, shattered smartphone screens could one day be a thing of the past.
