Looks the rumors of an all-alumni judging panel next season on American Idol may have been true after all. According to Vulture, season three contestant - and arguably one of the most successful Idol alums - Jennifer Hudson may be in talks to join the judges table for season 13, as producers struggle to save the show from slipping ratings and waning interest.
This is, of course, all rumors, but sources report that the deal is nearly "done." Fox reportedly is refusing to comment, which isn't surprising, but rumors like this tend to have some sort of merit - even if the deal ends up falling through.
Could the Academy Award-winning Jennifer Hudson be enough to save Idol? Maybe. Pair her up with William Hung and Bikini Girl, then maybe we'll talk.
