Feeling thirsty? Then it's time to make a call to your friendly neighborhood drone.
Not yet, at least, but perhaps sometime in the not too far future. During South Africa's OppiKoppi music festival in August, drones will be delivering everyone's favorite elixir, beer, to customers who order them with their phones. Test flights have been controlled remotely so far, but the goal is to get the drones to drop beer cans attached to parachutes using a GPS delivery grid.
Cool idea, and hopefully it works—but something tells us we might see a lot more concussions than drunkards if things don't go as planned.
