Charles Ramsey Awarded Free Burgers for the Rest of His Life

A hero's reward.

None

Oh, so you thought the world had forgotten about Charles Ramsey? Think again. Ramsey, who helped to rescue four victims who had been held captive by his neighbor Ariel Castro in Cleveland, has been blessed with free hamburgers for the rest of his natural life.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, over a dozen restaurants in Northeast Ohio (and even some outside of the state) will treat Ramsey to a free burger any time he wants one. This was motivated by the fact that Ramsey famously told reporters that he paused from his Big Mac (on his day off, albeit) to help save Amanda Berry and her daughter, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus

Ramsey's employer, Hodges restaurant, already came up with the Ramsey Burger. Co-owner Chris Hodgson's partner Scott Kuhn decided to crank the gratitude up a notch. "We want to honor our local hero with local food," he said. Kuhn operates four of the restaurants who have extended the offer to Ramsey.

He'll receive a one-and-only "Chuck Card," which is valid for life.
