Two and a Half Men is returning for an eleventh season, albeit with out the half. The show surprisingly found a second life after Charlie Sheen was kicked off due to his, er, antics.
Although Ashton Kutcher filled the hole left by Sheen, star Angus T. Jones provided the crazy. Earlier this year, he recorded a YouTube video proclaiming the show that made him famous was basically Satan.
"if you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth. Please,” he warned in his video. Critics and fans alike wondered if this would get him fired, too, but CBS stood behind Jones.
He later apologized for the video, and the network assured viewers that he wanted to return for the tenth season and they wanted him to return. (Sheen, for his part, blamed Jones' outburst on a toxic environment fostered by creator Chuck Lorre.)
CBS locked down both Kutcher and Jon Cryer for one-year contracts for $700,000 per episode, but Jones won't be returning as a series regular. It's not even guaranteed he'll have a recurring role at all. Let's just save everyone the embarassment and make sure the show doesn't come back for a 12th season, shall we?
