Contributing to his continuing quest to become the busiest man in Hollywood, J.J. Abrams is looking to add another project to his already full plate: According to Vulture, the director and his production company, Bad Robot, are looking to secure the rights to Stephen King's 2011 novel 11/22/63.

Considering the plot takes place over the course of a few years, the project will probably be some sort of TV show or miniseries as opposed to a full-length film. The book follows a teacher who finds a portal to 1958 in the back of a diner, then details as he plans and subsequently attempts to stop the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Clearly, our protagonist has never seen Back to the Future Part II, and it's alterna-1985 storyline where everything sucked. Oh well, he can marathon it when he gets back.
