The premiere of NBC's Silence of the Lambs prequel, Hannibal, premiered last night, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, not to the ratings the network had hoped. The series, which stars Mads Mikkelsen as the deranged Hannibal Lecter and Hugh Dancy as the criminal profiler on his case, only pulled in a 1.6/4 rating, with 4.3 million viewers.
While this isn't necessarily dismal, it's definitely not ideal considering the amount of press and anticipation there was for the project. Not to mention, it's also a pretty good show. On the bright side, however, these numbers are higher than the premiere of Do Not Harm last January - but to be fair, a 0.9 rating isn't that difficult to beat.
Meanwhile, also last night, The Big Bang Theory scored 16.79 million viewers, and Two and a Half Men pulled in 13.58 million. So, that's what everyone chose to watch.
