Bethesda has released a live-action trailer announcing their new survival-horror title, The Evil Within, this morning.

Bethesda has been teasing the announcement of a new title over the last week and this is what's gone live this morning. Let's just take a quick inventory of what's happening here: creepy record popping of classical music, rusty tools, barbed wire, blood soaked black and white photograph, and a guy running around with a square box on his head. Ok, we're in.

What looks like equal parts torture fetish and survival horror is being created by Shinji Mikami’s studio Tango Gameworks. Mikami is responsible for creating the original Resident Evil way back in 1996.

“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” says Mikami. “My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”

Also, a naked four-armed lady materializes out of a pool of blood. Good luck with that. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think. The Evil Within is currently scheduled to release next year in 2014 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC as well as next-gen consoles.
