The Throwdown in Chinatown Crawls Through D.C.'s Penn Quarter This Week (3/27)

The District's first major craft focused bar crawl. Ever.

None

Things are about to get ugly in D.C.'s Chinatown section this week, but in the best way possible. On Mar. 27, the Throwdown in Chinatown will sweep through the city's Penn Quarter, creating an intoxicated funnel from Rocket Bar (714 7th St. NW) to Iron Horse (507 7th St. NW) and finally to Penn Social (801 E St. NW). Don't think of it as a bar crawl, think of it as an alcohol-fueled locomotive.

The event will feature over 50 of the best craft beers from across the country, all of which will be $3. The stakes are high, as this is D.C.'s first major craft beer-focused bar crawl. Tickets can be purchased here, or you can buy them for $25 at the door of any of the participating bars.

Curious about the cause for this occasion? It's all because of the Craft Brewers Conference, which takes place in D.C. this week. The throwdown's madness won't end until 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, and yes, all three bars will still be open to the public.
