The San Francisco 49ers are building a high tech stadium unlike any other.

With help from former Facebook developers Dan Williams and Kunal Malik, the Santa Clara stadium, which opens in the fall of 2014, will provide WiFi access to all 68,500 fans who can fit inside it. They'll be able to use the network simultaneously, "without any limits on uploads and downloads," according to Ars Technica, who broke the story.

"We see the stadium as a large data center," said Williams during the interview. "Our intentions in terms of WiFi are to be able to provide a similar experience that you would receive with LTE services, which today is anywhere from 20 to 40 megabits per second, per user."

Now all they need is a phone-charging station.
