Believe it or not, people are already talking about the 2014 Oscars. And there are frontrunners before the films have even been released! (We have a theory that's why The Great Gatsby was pushed from last fall to this spring. Give Leo an Oscar already!)

Nicole Kidman's take on the iconic Grace Kelly, a 1954 Academy Award winner herself, is sure to be Oscar-bait. Kidman already has a Best Actress statue from The Hours, but she does look like Princess Grace in the first still from Grace of Monaco, and the Academy loves a good biopic—see: The Iron Lady, Walk the Line, La Vie En Rose, The Queen, Erin Brockovich...need we go on?

The Weinstein Company is also bidding for the film with a minimum of 800 screens and $10 million. They're also planning "a release pattern similar to the one [they] used for The Iron Lady...smack in the middle of awards season."

Kelly's family recently called the film "inaccurate," but Kidman came to its defense. "I wanted to be respectful of her, her story and her essence so hopefully that will all come through," she said.

Tim Roth plays Prince Ranier III and it's directed by La Vie En Rose's Olivier Dahan. It also stars Frank Langella, Parker Posey, and Paz VegaGrace of Monaco hits theaters this Christmas.
