The D: Dive Into Media conference has turned up plenty of news bytes, but perhaps the coolest of all was Intel's announcement that it's developing a web TV service with its own set-top box.
Erik Huggers, corporate vice president at Intel Media, confirmed the rumors Tuesday, saying, "We have been working for about a year now to set a group called Intel Media," with people he's hired from Apple, Netflix and Google.
The device will obviously be Intel-powered and host everything from live TV to on-demand programs and apps.
Though the service has yet to be named, consumers can expect to see it online at some point this year.
