Since Fifty Shades of Grey is obviously such a fine piece of literature, book publishers are picking up more stories that started out as Twilight fan fiction. Ok, we can't exactly blame them—in the ailing book industry, the BDSM trilogy made somebody a lot of money.

The book Beautiful Bastard isn't even on sale yet and author Christina Lauren (the pen name of Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings) already has a movie deal. Filming on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie hasn't started yet, so it's unclear whether a Beautiful Bastard movie would compete or be released after.

The stories are awfully similar: Beautiful Bastard follows intern Chloe Mills as she—surprise!—has an affair with her powerful boss. Who we're guessing is a total bastard. The original story was downloaded two million times since 2009 before Hobbs took it down and worked with Billings to put together a book.

To make it even weirder, though, the movie is set to be produced by Jeremy Bolt, of the Resident Evil movies. As far as we know, there aren't any zombies or Milla Jovovich, but we can only hope they're planning on kicking it up a notch, Adaptation style.
