Her first major film since "The Ring Two."

Deadline is reporting that Revenge star Emily Van Camp has landed the lead female role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Van Camp reportedly beat out Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick, Community's Alison Brie, and Downton Abbey's Jessica Brown Findlay.

As we reported earlier, Marvel Studios hasn't released a character name yet, but it's probably Sharon Carter, a fixture in the Captain America comic books.

Filming hasn't started yet, but the release date remains April 4, 2014. Chris Evans will be reprising his role as the eponymous hero following a successful turn in The Avengers; Scarlett Johansson is also returning as Black Widow. Still, there's no official announcement regarding casting.
