Looks like the stop and go production of Blizzard's big screen adaptation of World of Warcraft has gained some forward momentum.

Duncan Jones, director of such critical darlings as Moon and Source Code, has officially taken directing responsibilities over from Sam Raimi. Raimi dropped out of the project in mid 2012 and the project has been in a holding pattern ever since. According to the Hollywood Reporter Jones has been officially confirmed by Blizzard as the new head of the project.

Which is rad because Moon and Source Code were some of the smartest science fiction films to come out in a long while. The writer still attached to the project, Charles Leavitt,  is still on board and Blizzard is looking for a 2015 release. What do you think? Does this have the makings of greatness stamped on it? Let us know what you think.
