On January 20, the hip-hop community took to the nation's capital to celebrate President Obama's second inauguration at the second annual Heineken USA sponsored Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball. The event was thrown by Hip Hop Summit Action Network and Philanthropik.org, and was organized as a celebration of the role the hip-hop community took in raising awareness about the 2012 Presidential Election.

The black-tie event was hosted by La La Anthony and Terrence J, and attendees included 2 Chainz, Common, Raheem DeVaughn, 9th Wonder, John Legend, Victor Cruz, Wayne BradyEva Longoria, Rosario Dawson, Swizz Beatz, Angela Simmons, Doug E. Fresh, Jadakiss and John Legend among others.
