With movies like The Departed, Revolutionary Road, and Django Unchained on his résumé, Leonardo DiCaprio has solidified himself as one of the best actors currently working in Hollywood. But anyone expecting to see much more of him in the immediate future might be in for some disappointment because during an interview with the German media outlet Bild (via BuzzFeed), DiCaprio stated that he is going to take a well-deserved vacation from the acting world.

"I am a bit drained. I'm now going to take a long, long break. I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out," he told the site. In the meantime he said, “I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment."

This news comes just a few weeks after DiCaprio was snubbed for an Academy Award for his work on Django Unchained, which was more than deserving of some recognition. Maybe people will realize just how talented he really is when he isn’t around for a while. But for people who already know just how great he is, you can take solace in the fact that he has two movies still scheduled for release this year: The Great Gatsby and The Wolf of Wall Street, where he will re-team with director Martin Scorsese.
