Oh, You Wanted a 3DS For Christmas? Too Bad, Here's Some Rocks

A 3DS purchased from Walmart turned out to be a box full of rocks.

Don't shake it, you'll break the rocks!

A well-meaning mother and her disappointed son became the victim of an age-old scam this Christmas, and though we're sure they're not the only ones, they're the ones that we've heard about, so we're going to tell you about it too.

A woman in Talladega bought a brand new 3DS (looks like it was an XL) from Walmart to give to her son on Christmas, but on opening the box all they found were a bunch of rocks. And no, the lady hadn't filled the box with coal to teach her son some fucked up lesson; it came that way from the store, meaning someone had purchased it, switched out the system for the rocks and then returned the box.

Hey, at least they were nice enough to wrap the rocks in tissue paper. That's almost as good as a 3DS, as long as you don't mind playing Throw Rocks at Squirrels instead of Super Mario 3D Land.

Needless to say, Walmart replaced the item, and "employees are now checking returned merchandise." Thank goodness.
