THQ has announced that the limited edition of Metro: Last Light will be provided as a free upgrade to customers who pre-order the upcoming sequel. The limited edition includes a copy of the game (obviously), plus Ranger Mode, which makes ammo scarce and enemies tougher and makes a return since it was added as free DLC for Metro 2033.

In addition, the Metro: Last Light limited edition contains the Ranger loadout, with "bonus military grade bullets" (expensive currency) and the AKS-74U rifle. There's even a special bonus for those who pre-order a digital version of the game on Sony's PlayStation Network—they'll get a free downloadable copy of Homefront, as well as a Metro: Last Light PSN theme.

It's hard to argue with a free upgrade—are you planning on pre-ordering Metro: Last Light before its March 13 release date?
