Google Says It Won't Be Making Any Apps for Windows Phone 8

Windows who?

Google+ for iPhone.

A lot has been made of Google's relationship with Apple lately, but at least those two have a relationship. While the Big G has no less than 15 apps available for Apple's iOS platform (including the just launched Google Maps), it currently has exactly zero available for Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 platform— no Gmail, no YouTube, no nothing.

In a recent interview, Google's Product Management Director for apps stated the company's case against Windows plainly.

"We have no plans to build out Windows apps," he said. "We are very careful about where we invest and will go where the users are but they are not on Windows Phone or Windows 8. If that changes, we would invest there, of course."

Ouch.

Looks like Windows Phone users will be stuck with Office for a while.
