Starting January 28, Foursquare is creating two new additions to its privacy policy. The items include allowing the use of full names and the ability for businesses to access longer data logs. While these inclusions aren't as appalling or controversial as Instagram (#neverforget), the location-based social networking site still went about announcing the news in a strategic manner. By making it known between Christmas and New Year's Eve, they attempted to capitalize on the collective euphoria of users during the holiday season. Smart move.
