Shows like American Idol and X-Factor have been marginally successful in finding tomorrow's musical superstars, but could they work in finding the next great American tech entrepreneur? Simon Cowell and Will.i.am think so. According to The Sunthe pair already have a show of that nature in the works.
In a statement to The Sun, Will.i.am gave a brief description about the show:
“We’re working on a project called X Factor for Tech — and it’s going to be out of this world. It’s about getting in touch with youth and giving them a platform to express themselves — whether that’s in science or mathematics”
Wil.i.am is no stranger to technology. Before a holographic Tupac graced this year's Coachella, the Black Eyed Peas front man beamed into the CNN headquarters as a hologram during the 2008 presidential elections. He also recently premiered a new song from Mars.
