The Barclays Center will be complying with the New York soda ban six months early. Drinks have already been capped at 16 ounces, despite the ban not going into effect until March, and several patrons are pissed off about it.  A frustrated Kerem Latan told the Times that he wanted a 48 ounce beverage because he did not want to wait in opening night lines "three times." Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, who was opposed to the ban, said that management's decision to fall in line with it was "their prerogative."

However, it should be noted that their large cup is $4, a dollar less than the small cup at Madison Square Garden, which is 24 ounces.
