Add Nicole Scherzinger to the growing list of stars who've recently come forward and admitted to battling an eating disorder. In a VH1 Behind the Music episode, she says she struggled with bulimia for eight years.

“I never did drugs, but kinda doing things to myself was my addiction,” she said. “It’s like when I got off stage, I was on this high, and I’d come back to my room and I’d be alone, so I would just do things. My bulimia was my addiction; hurting myself was my addiction."

It all started in 2003 when she joined the Pussycat Dolls.

“It was all new to me and I was incredibly scared,” said the 34-year-old. “I was not comfortable with my body.”

Eventually, things spiraled out of control.

"I just hated myself,” she said. “I really was so disgusted with myself and so embarrassed. I felt so alone. I was in a group, and I never felt so alone in my life.”

But throughout it all, she remained quiet and kept it to herself.

"I never spoke about it," she said. "I never want to play a victim, and I never wanted my family to hear about things from me because I think it would break their heart."

It wasn't until PCD disbanded in 2009 that she was able to start dealing with her issues, through therapy.

"I grew," she said. "I started to embrace myself, as a woman and my curves. I feel on top of the world and today I feel like the sexiest woman alive."
