Unfortunately, it's looking like the final season of The Office may be the last time we'll see Dwight Schrute on our televisions. Always one for making awful programming decisions, NBC has opted to pass on the Rainn Wilson-starring Office spin-off, The Farm. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wilson tweeted yesterday that NBC had decided not to move forward with the series, despite the massive amounts of buzz the show was garnering and the impressive cast that was to include Mike Schur returning as Cousin Mose.

Farm Update: NBC has passed on moving forward with The Farm TV show. Had a blast making the pilot - onwards & upwards!

NBC has yet to confirm the news, but we think it's pretty safe to say that the series is dead. The pilot will now instead air as an official episode of The Office.
