Looks like things are not getting better for workers at Foxconn, the electronics manufacturer of products like the Apple iPhone and iPad. The Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, China entered the spotlight recently after a two fights and an alleged strike broke out with its iPhone 5 quality assurance workers.

New York based advocacy group, China Labor Watch, reported that three to four thousand Foxconn workers went on strike after the increase of demands in regards to the quality of the iPhone 5. Foxconn denies all the rumors of a strike in a statement to Reuters:

“Any reports that there has been an employee strike are inaccurate, there has been no workplace stoppage in that facility or any other Foxconn facility and production has continued on schedule.”

Who is telling the truth with the two conflicting stories? The iPhone 5 is hottest tech product on the market right now so it only makes sense if the Foxconn workers are feeling the wrath of the high consumer demand. Foxconn has received negative publicity numerous times in regards to conditions of its employees.  In the past the company has been accused of hiring underage workers, overworking, and providing poor living conditions for its employees. According to Foxconn, it's business as usual in their factories and iPhone 5 production has “continued on schedule.”
